Description
22k solid gold ring set with a 4.85ct tsavorite garnet.
Our objective is to frame an oval stone in a memorable setting. A door to window; a cameo in frame.
This is a dark but lush tsavorite, its cut is primitive and there are natural inclusions.
Setting a stone with these attributes, and with no other accent stones, requires one stroke of design and perhaps one fancy touch.
The stone is held by a regular bezel, and then with a gap between the inner bezel and its outermost ‘frame’.
A twist in the corner we get a little fancy with the frame, melting a little tenderness into its deep green. The ‘frame’ is also very subtly contoured here and there for this reason.
A gentlemen’s ring, we are only allowed one groovy move. The band is left plain, solid.
Depending on how long you look at the ring, it is historical, it is modern.
Best of all, it is distinct in one move.
