The change is from blue green to reddish purple.
The natural color is truly half green, half blue, not closer to one, but a peculiar, distinct hue that makes this alexandrite distinct, even before noticing its color change.
The stone in natural light is a color not usually seen in gems, a limited hue that is somewhat ‘teal’.
Its warm light color displays a grape purple, some parts redder.
Although the color change is full, you can see its consequent color play as if the stone is color zoned. This color play tells a story of the galaxy, can you see?
