Ancient Glass Beads Labradorite Necklace Gold
Description
Fine Roman style necklace set with labradorite and black glass beads, with solid gold accents in 24k and 18k.
All glass material is from excavations, with over 1300 years.
The red and orange beads are carnelian and jasper. Nothing is modern day, except for the labradorite.
These are very clean and premium labradorite beads, they rival high quality moonstones in their adularescence, bringing light to the dark.
The ancient and the modern are both here, this is not straightforward, even if the use of stone and glass is Man’s original personal ornament.
Through our study and handling of excavated beads over the years, we discover the finest way to wear excavated material is through a renewed stream of energy.
To crystallise the glass we have to turn to stone.
That way the ancient life of the glass is ‘crystallised’ by our input.
This necklace is as beautiful, though not as fragile as its museum exhibit. It is made the way you see because of the need to satisfy fineness.
It is robust even if one should wear with care, since all genuine and usable excavated beads become precious.
The bigger beads span 9mm to 11mm, at the centre; to be worn at 17.5″ or longer at 19.5″, please get in touch.
Available finally for eyes that know.
