Lavender Jade Sapphire Diamond Ring Palladium

Description

Fine statement ring set with a natural lavender jadeite jade and accented with diamond and sapphires in palladium and 18k.

This is an artisan ring handmade to revive an androgynous art deco ‘pavilion’ form.

The dreamy narrative of this ring is created through an unlikely pairing of stones.

The hues of lilac and royal blue wrapped in grey gold is a poignant color vision.

The lavender jade is transparent and of a high grade, though that is not the reason to admire this ring.

While actual Art Deco rings are many, some heady and some refined, few portray the aesthetic of a ‘cold spring’.

This refers to the binary of metal and stone: the high mix of palladium into the gold is ‘cold’, nurtured by an earnest ‘spring’, a non-faceted softly-lit stone.

Form wise, this is the kind of ring that surprises through its profile, while its face projects an infinity stone.

The ring is not tall, but the jade stone positioned East-West and the accent stones gloved in sectioned layers all give an impression of height.

The ring sits comfortably and almost flushed to finger except for the jade’s dome. This is the duplicity of great form.

The face of the ring spans 20mm by 16mm.

It will be full coverage over the finger, an arching presence built on form’s function.

Diamonds weigh 1.15ctw; sapphires weigh 1.8ctw. All diamonds and sapphires have good lustre and fire.

The lavender jade cabochon measures 11.9 x 10.2 x 6 mm.
