22k Emerald Coin Ring Gold

Fine emerald ring set in 22k.

The 5ct Colombian emerald is blueish green with an excellent tone.

The emerald cut stone is set to a near round ‘coin’ face.

Its convex face is perhaps furthest from a coin, yet it situates the stone naturally.

Modern from its outlook above a Roman carriage, this must be when you add a quite perfect stone into a quite primitive body.

Dipped into its cutout the stone emerges from its girdle, part bezel, part prong set.

When building this ring, marks of the ‘spade’ are left on the gold, there is nothing polished or plated in this ring.

Seemingly plain, but nothing plain to concoct simple.

The face of the ring spans 18mm by 17mm.
