Medieval Moonstone Lapis Turquoise Bead Necklace 18k

Description

Fine medieval style TRIO necklace set with moonstone, lapis and turquoise beads with solid gold accents in 18k.

All bead material is from stone, undyed and natural.

The idea is to string these high quality moonstones, cut in briolette form, without losing their dainty nonchalance.

These moonstones look like bubbles, except sharp, seldom we find high quality moonstones cut into briolette.

The holes in these old moonstone beads are tiny, so we strung them with equally tiny lapis and turquoise, also old material (from Afghanistan).

At only 3mm by 2mm, these tiny bicone- or barrel-shaped lapis & turquoise beads are unbelievably bright, textured like Faber-Castell lead in its color pencils!

There are three necklaces in this set, designed to be worn together, or each alone, or paired.

Each necklace is a fine line, one built thicker than the other, so compacted the fire and flash take on an incredible glow.

Wearing them stacked lays out the Faience effect of medieval Egyptian jewelry.

The largest moonstone is 11mm by 5.5mm (centred on the smallest necklace).

The smallest moonstone is 5mm by 3mm.

Other beads/stones include: citrine (ancient); imperial topaz (vintage); aquamarine.

All material is collected over a long period of time. Nothing modern day is made in this way without a long vision.

The necklaces are 15″, 16″, 17″.

They are not fragile, but like actual medieval jewelry, if survived today, must be worn with care.

No one will make this just for aesthetics, there has to be soul, threaded from maker to wearer.
