Description

Mint Green Jade Donut Pendant

Fine jade donut pendant accented with emeralds and diamonds in 18k.

The unique celadon or mint green tone responds to light in a way that shows off jadeite’s softness in the donut tradition.

This is not jade’s usual green, or even uniform, but it is a very special tone preserved in a ‘white’ Art Deco pendant.

Its revival style starts working with the mint spectrum, using lighter but brighter Colombian emeralds fulfil this color way.

When surrounded by daylight, the jade is fair and icy.

With variations in light, the jade’s changing hue is lovely. This is possible when jade is both light and bright.

The green and silvery stream of this pendant evokes a dreamy aura that cord or chain will not detract; styling the pendant at choker length will actually work given its long bail design.

Again and again, it is this dream we want to embody in jade cut in the donut form, specifically, the softness in Art Deco jade jewellery (where are they?).

The gold work is a Deco ribbon braced by the finest (tiniest possible) millegrain.

This pendant was handmade to bring back what we imagine could be made a century ago.

The donut measures 2cm across, the pendant is 3cm tall.

Emeralds weigh 0.7ctw; natural diamonds weigh 0.24ctw.
