The alexandrite variety of cat’s eye chrysoberyl is a rare stone, spiritual for those who recognise its strangely alluring beauty.

The pendant is designed as a charm ‘amulet’ pendant, as cat’s eye stones have traditionally been harnessed in jewellery.

The chrysoberyl stone exhibits the chatoyancy ‘cat’s eye’ effect, and displays the alexandrite’s color change when warm light passes over.

Its natural daylight color is a translucent green-brown, which displays as an intense brown berry purple the closer the incandescent light.

The cat’s eye is wrapped in an elongated fish motif.

This fish is contoured, carved, and accented with diamonds: an Old European Cut diamond at its eye, baguette diamonds at its tail, and brilliant cuts border the dark stone.

The cat’s eye is an old favourite throughout history and across many cultures. It is set with multi prongs in line with older heirloom styles where the pendant is objectified.

The fish symbol has something to do with our creaturely balance, between air and water; the moon plays a subconscious role in the cat’s eye, on land and at sea.

One other ‘eye’, a 0.25ct marquise diamond bezel set in an orb, oversees the fish.
