Description

Art Deco style ring set with a natural 1.09ct marquise sapphire, white jadeite jade and diamonds in platinum and 22k gold.

This is a pinky ring designed in the spirit to an earlier pinky ring.

The tale is told through sharing the same stones of jade and sapphire, expressed in reverse, sapphire as main stone and jade as accent.

The blue sapphire is paired with white jade, icy enough that when backlit reveal a see-through ‘curtain’ around its deep blue.

Again the marquise is housed as if part of a tabletop. This long and slim platinum ‘counter’ is cornered by tapered jade and bordered by diamonds.

Idealising the small onto a tabletop allows us to build a ‘container’ for the array of small stones.

The meticulous ‘drawer’ is part of this tabletop, the crisscross is laborious to carve in a ring meant for the pinky, and provides a warm golden contrast to the white of the ring.

The rear of the ring is as beautiful as its face.

Pinky to pinky, the Art Deco sensibility is now complete on two hands. One ring for ‘cold’ and quiet, the other in ‘warm’ company.

Art Deco Revival is here for extensibility, carrying whim from wee ideas, perhaps there could be room for a third charm bracelet.
