20k vintage Chinese jade bracelet set with 6 jadeite jade cabocons, in the style of a link bracelet.
The bracelet is designed to showcase the spectrum of natural jadeite colours.
Comprising three smaller cabochons and two bigger ones at the ends, this a piece for jade lovers. Each bezel holds a jadeite distinct in colour and together their colours reflect a selection of desirable jade.
The colours are a blast – summery, warm and earthy, vibing Grecian overtones. Yet this is Chinese period jewellery, from the South East Asian region.
Such petite link bracelets can be found up till the ’60s, when gold work became hefty and less delicate. Interestingly, these earlier bracelets also show the East-West flavour which somehow got lost after the ’60s.
