Flower Purple Sapphire Necklace Bead

Custom & Bespoke

Description

Fine statement necklace set with natural sapphires weighing 41.81ctw in 22k.

This is an unheated sapphire necklace, set with four sugarloaf moonstones in its pendant.

There are two groups of sapphires: the large bezel set purplish pink sapphires are from Pakistan; the rose cut watery sapphires are from Sri Lanka.

The ‘velvety’ sapphires are set with ‘ink wash’ Ceylon sapphires for a sublime piece of jewelry – nothing needs to outshine, all speak of light’s turn.

The work on this necklace is extensive labour; because all stones are uncalibrated, the bezels and flowers are carved one by one, each distinct.

The gold work is masterful, both in conveying the gallery and reviving the scalloped prongs of antiquity.

The organic shapes we insist on convey a fine necklace finer than a matched lot of stones.

An ‘old soul’ eye notices these things.

In person the necklace has a very bright complexion, with exquisite drape.

The flow across shapes, color, and size all fulfil our wish for an impression of freshness, a non-narcissistic femininity.

The necklace is beaded part way, removing the role of hard (gold) chain in a necklace that is beautiful for being all stone: part gem, part bead.

The labradorite and moonstone beads are a near flawless specimen displaying strong adularescence.

At 16.25″, it is a choker length necklace worn at the clavicle, its pendant can be detached for less decorum.

Flower to oval, before the beads come on at the neck.

Coming together the stones and gold map a transcendental necklace, across era and style.

The idea is simple, but such designs are not made in a noisy world.

The fact it was made today is the smoking gun.

The funny thing is, these ideas won’t come when the time for bespoke entails!
