Fine statement ring set with natural sapphires weighing 8.52ctw in 22k.

This is an unheated sapphire ring, set with excellent Burmese spinels in its band.

We point out two full cut sapphires amidst the watery lot of rose cut Ceylon sapphires: a 3.52ct Kashmir purple sapphire, and a 1ct Ceylon blue sapphire, both round.

The purple and blue are velvety and intense respectively, they balance the wavelength of soft color in the rest.

Look at the video, the work of light (hence color) is superlative through all stones.

In natural light and indoors, the stones paint the flowers.

No diamonds come into work, the ring’s lustre is from light’s theatre.

Because all stones are uncalibrated, the bezels and flowers are carved one by one, each distinct.

The gold work is masterful, the gallery reviving the scalloped prongs of antiquity, the band contoured (which fires the spinels).

The idea for its ‘frozen’ design is two thirds light, one third color.

To place a pair of icy flowers on the hand, big enough to sprawl, placement perfect.

In person the ring has a very bright complexion, the rose cuts are like a portrait cut, weighing 4ctw in all.
